Eligibility for Financial Assistance
Individuals eligible for financial assistance:
- Adult Athletes (i.e. recipients or living donors).
- First Time Attending Pediatric Athletes (i.e. recipients under the age of 18). Pediatric athletes attending the Transplant Games for the first time are eligible to request financial assistance for up to three (3) immediate family members (parents/guardians and siblings).
- Returning Pediatric Athletes (i.e. recipients under the age of 18). Pediatric athletes that have previously attended the Transplant Games are eligible to request financial assistance for up to one (1) immediate family member (parent/guardian).
- Donor Families (Family members of deceased organ, tissue or cornea donors). Up to four (4) members of the donor family can request financial assistance to cover their travel expenses.
In evaluating requests for financial assistance, Gift of Life Transplant Foundation will consider what efforts the team member has made to raise funds for the team and what efforts the team member has done or plans to do to help advance the Gift of Life mission.
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Dedication and ability to help advance the Gift of Life mission by working with us to raise awareness and build support for saving lives through organ donation.
- Ability to contribute to Team Philadelphia’s camaraderie, diversity, and spirit.
- Financial need and fundraising efforts
- Preference given to first time attendees
Please be aware that requesting financial assistance does not guarantee that funding will be provided.
If your attendance to the Transplant Games is dependent on financial aid, we advise not registering for the 2026 Transplant Games of America until after you receive notification on your financial assistance applicaiton.
Applications are due on February 14, 2026.
Applicants will be notified by February 27, 2026.
